MUc6jI9-uzb and MUc6jI9-efm apparently want everyone else on this board to be miserable with them. LOL So because folks are post on here that they are not living in your unhappyland then they must be brown nosers. Never read such dumb posts. Must s--- selling cell phones. Go have fun wireless boys.

Brown Noser: "an abjectly subservient person; sycophant"

Just like you.

If you have any good book recommendations, please let us know. I doubt you read anything of interest though, you seem like quite a dull fellow.

"No it is called not wasting my breathe gripping on things I cannot control. I'd rather spend my time on what I can control."

Well you certainly cannot control people "gripping" on internet forums so why are you wasting your breath on that? Practice what you preach or stfu.

@MUc6jI9-ths Another one who fails at reading comprehension. Must be great to sit in your lousy seat. So because people do not have the same problems they now are brown nosers...love your perception on things. Go find a useful book to read or better yet, you're that miserable, find a new job. Why sit around and be unhappy?

" The end started with the rebranding after the GTE merger. Too much Texass influence. "

As a former GTE person, we all agreed the rot set in once those Bell Atlantic clowns became in charge (although we admitted that our CEO Lee was a joke compared to Ivan). Then we all became buddies to complain about those horrible MCI people taking over Verizon Business. And then those Terramark people, and AOL etc......

And that's all apart from wireless/wireline, union/non-union stuff, guess we just don't play well together!

@MUc6jI9-qvk No it is called not wasting my breathe gripping on things I cannot control. I'd rather spend my time on what I can control. People like you die young because all you know is to blame someone else. I never stated that Verizon is perfect, it clearly isn't, but I have better things to do. My management treats me with respect and I reciprocate. If the day comes I am let go, I can either come here and gripe like you do or find something better to put food on my table. It must s--- to be you.

Yes it is toxic. The environment absolutely devours ones soul. They have utter disdain for their employees as well as the customer. It was once a wonderful place to work and served the public proudly. The end started with the rebranding after the GTE merger. Too much Texass influence. One asks why stick around? The answer is simple, I as well as many others are in too deep. It would be cutting off one's nose to spite their face to leave prematurely. There is just too much cash on the table. Leaving earlier than planned lets them win. I am eligible to leave now but will not until i have gotten my pound of flesh. The days are ticking away but I will leave on my terms.

The reason why people havent left is because they are all waiting for their SEVERANCE PACKAGE..dont fool yourself into thinking otheriwse.

Verizon's network advantage is no longer relevant. Leadership has no idea how to compete with the other carriers and only has myopic, knee jerk solutions to shore up the stock price and preserve the precious dividend. None of the senior management seem to be able to see past the current quarter. They spend capital at an ABSOLUTELY ABSURD rate to get expense off the books. No vision, they ran out of ideas on how to sell their widgets and have taken on too much debt in the search for the perfect 90's internet company. All this plus unlimited data which is pushing the network to the limit. The wireless network planning folks had no idea unlimited was coming, so now they are forced to react to the increased traffic loads, not how you want to manage a network. The perfect storm, this is only the beginning.

MUc6jI9-kim is one of the V Teamers. They think Verizon is great and yet they come to the layoff site to try and determine if their number is up. Ironic.

@kim

Of course you have not provided any solutions either, all you have done is to complain about the complainers. So ultimately you are just another complainer, but in addition, also you are also a brown-noser.

Apparently not everyone is happy with their careers. What amazes me is that if they are so miserable, why haven't they left yet. I will agree that things are not perfect. However looking for solutions versus bashing their own company online and expect people to do business with the company seems pretty stupid. There is no such thing as a perfect company. I am sure that there are people at TMobile who are not happy in their jobs. People tend to concentrate on the negative versus finding the positive side of things. Nothing is handed to anyone. Nothing is guaranteed. While I have not always been happy in all my jobs in my many years at Verizon, I will find another position where I will be happy. Company provides great benefits including paying for education. People want high paying jobs but expect a walk in the park. These same individuals complain about pricing of products because they are the consumer but then complain when the company doesn't generate revenue. I do not see any of these complainers providing solutions.

Yep its a big fat meat grinder. And a bunch of old codgers at the top just waiting for their golden parachutes while everyone else waits for the axe to fall on them.

Then you have your V Team Kool Aide drinkers that have their heads so far up their managers a$$, they can't see anything but their $hit.

That about sums up Verliezon.
