I hope that Verizon does not acquire Disney only because they would ruin the Disney image for sure. Verizon is telephone company and should leave the digital media business to a more qualified organization.

No way would DIS want a POS company like Verizon. Verizon Wireless lost its MOJO when Vodaphone sold it to Verizon a couple of years ago. Now its one big unhappy company doing stupid crap like buying garbage companies like Yahoo and AOL. Two losers of the internet. Verizon is heading towards the sewer as it destroys its network by firing its employees. The leadership team is nothing but a bunch of twits not knowing how to turn it around. Morale is at a all time low.
Yes Lowell hopes Disney or any other company will buy Verizon. He wis planning his retirement. On the way out he wants the "change of control" clause kick in and vest all his millions of options and Long Term Incentive shares immediately..more BILLIONS for him. Plus receive an extra bonus as he leaves along and kick in his retirement package. He and his team of idiots are drooling ofer the possibility of an ownership change to get them out of the mess they created. LoMac is planning his exit and plans to take every penny he can. Pure greed. Incompetent and unaccountable. The board needs to go also. They always vote with the team of clowns. Nice work Lomac..... one of the worst performing stocks... that's his grade card.

Disney's market cap is almost 182 billion....Verizon couldn't afford Disney if it wanted to they are way to heavily indebted right now.
