The U.K. Pension changes go into effect June 30
The rumor for USA pensions were to be announced late April or May so the wait may almost be over. They are probably reviewing how many UK people are leaving to get a USA estimate before proceeding
So maybe USA really will be Q3 or Q4
They were initially warned November 2016. Then it was reiterated in February that they had to decide to stay or go by May 1st. And if exiting and starting pension they must leave by June 30 2017
How was the plan change handled? Were people informed of the change and given a time period by which they needed to make a decision on whether to retire at their current benefit level or to stay employed and accept the new (reduced) benefit level? Appreciate any information that can be provided.
HZT- they increased the early retirement penalty from 4% a year to 7% per year younger than 67. You can Google some of it via U.K. Honeywell pension change. Each employee received specifics but unfortunately this forum doesn't support posting PDF
