I should've kept my mouth shut and run my vacation out for another six months. But today, I was told I will be receiving my vacation money in two to four weeks. My MGR backdated my leave time so I lost some vac pay but in the long run I'm much more content. Don't fight the system just leave.

In my state what he did is absolutely illegal. Another retailer in my state did the same thing to a group of employees. They complained to the state authorities and the retailer ended up being fined a lot of money. The employees not only got their correct vacation pay they also got some extra money in penalties and interest. The state also audited the retailer and fined them for not paying overtime and falsifying payroll records. Many current and former employees got a check for the amount owed to them due to unpaid overtime and falsified payroll. The employer is also subject to unannounced payroll audits by the state.
I'm glad that you're getting your money. Kind of slimy to backdate it on you. I don't know the law in your state but in mine, they have to pay it right away. No 2 to 4 weeks.
