There will be a concerted campaign to reduce productivity and to be non cooperative in general. This will be done while still carrying on the pretence that we actually care about working for Intel. For most of my twenty two years working for Intel in Ireland, me and my fellow workers ridicule the sh--e that Americans spout from their big mouths especially when they visit our site and tell us how we should be doing our jobs. We're hardened at this stage and if the site closes so what. Stick Intel Ireland where the sun don't shine. Me and my peers are sitting pretty when or if our American paymasters decide to pull the plug in Ireland. There's plenty of other tech companies here at this stage in case you lot haven't noticed.

Actually , "scheme" in US English vs UK/Irish English have very different meanings. In the US the term means something nefarious or underhanded. In the U.K./Ireland it simply means "plan".
This isn't that alarming an article. Lots of options, and new employees since 2012 haven't even participated in this specific plan.
I was more amused that the Irish actually call pension plans a 'scheme'. Right on!

Better start brushing up on your interviewing skills then.... no one is irreplaceable. Intel didn't force you to work there as long as you did.. if there are better options elsewhere what's holding you back ?
Pensions went the way of the dinosaurs in the US a long time ago. Get over it, Ireland.
Why do you keep posting this? Pension scheme sounds accurate. Nearly all pensions are underfunded and doomed to fail. Get your head around it while you have time to figure out how to survive in your old age!
You and your paddy friends should quit if you don't like it especially since there are so many other tech companies out there. If not, STFU, drink a pint, and eat some chips.
