Let go due to OMCS/ACS "merger" along with 62 others (confirmed) [Sept '17], although possibly more that I can't account for because I don't have access to that data. Definitely letting go of the wrong people. F--- these a--holes. If you haven't received the unexpected FedEx package, you should make it your second full-time job to look for something new. Why ride this ship all the way down? The rats can stay and drown.
Was let go from Oracle last Monday, today it's sinking in, but looking forward to new and more exciting work at a place which appreciates it's employees.
Just got paid off from Linlithgow Scotland on Monday.
The only remaining question is when will LE finally fire TK? Long overdue
Welcome to NetSuite, aka, the new oracle. If you can't beat em, join them
Wow, our cloud offerings for Fusion Apps are toast. No one left to even try and keep the lights on now. Things were bad before, but now it's completely game over. Anything that breaks will stay that way. There's no way we can keep our PODs up and running without any skilled engineers.
It looks like Oracle hire OMCS staff in Romania, https://oracle.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobsearch.ftl
Several people let go in Texas (Austin and Dallas). The problem is Oracle is letting the wrong people go. There is too much middle management. Campbell Webb is out of touch with his organization. He needs to look at the good old boy network and clean it up.
Desperate three stooges going bezerk, just wait to June 1, you ain't seen nothing yet. These lunatics are on a tear to destroy the company and nothing will stop them now.
ABANDON SHIP!!!
Confirming OMCS has had layoffs, more to come.
Sad day. Good luck to all the ops folks let go. There must be a life after Oracle.
SAAS Cloud Ops here, got the ax today. Boss said a ton of people got cut today. Our team was already extremely lean (and profitable) so the cut came as a real blow to the team. Nobody is safe.
Fusion Apps are bleeding inordinate amount of cash and this is just a result of that. Netsuite is the only hope.
"Oracle is hiring only in MX and India."
Not truth, today people at MX (GDL) received notification that was last day for them too.
I was let go today - Oracle Fusion Cloud Ops.
Alot were let go today. Some worked for over 20 years. It was very sad. Hope they will find something soon.
I know they hired a new grad at 150k. Good for him but bad for everyone else (U S. Citizens, h1bs, everyone) who worked so hard over the years.
So all this growth is from NetSuite and oracle stuff is going south ?
Oracle managed cloud services, that mean Oracle clouds have problem, bunch of people let go today in HQ, why Monday?
What is OMCS?
How many in cloud opps?
one was shown exit door in HQ
Yep, cost cuts in cloud operations. It's now a race to the bottom. Hardly anyone is making money in cloud. There is a good chance that Oracle is burning through cash and needs to stop the bleeding. It's like a startup inside a dinosaur. The only way they can fight gravity is through strategic acquisitions.
Every employee needs an exit strategy. Sticking your head in the sand will not make this go away.
i trained Mexico now i m out.. i thought Trump was going to save my job.
Oracle is hiring only in MX and India.
i was let go in Chicago this morning ....
