Heard from management that the leadership team has more or less thrown in the towel when it comes to FA and have accepted that the future of the apps business at Oracle will be in acquired assets like NetSuite. Feature wise, FA will not progress much more beyond where it is today (REL12). Regardless of what we do with version numbers, it will transition into a maintenance mode like what they did with Solaris. I can only assume more drastic cuts are not far behind.

Fusion apps is total useless c r a p, it's dead, no future, no nothing. Do not go near, do not get tangled up in this sh-- . Go work for a real company that knows how to manage software / code writing
Tell your son to look for jobs elsewhere. There is no future at oracle. The current management is running the place into the ground, just like MH ran HP into the ground.
How are things in HCM Fusion? How is the uncertainty of Fusion Apps affecting HCM Fusion? I'm just kind of worried because my son is going through interviews as a developer in HCM Fusion.
R13 or R14 or quarterly releases or whatever cannot help the bleeding. The train wreck is a foregone conclusion.
Fusion is confusion!
Have you even heard of R13?
Multiple POCs are in progress for FA.
Also, they signed huge deals this Q (as far as I know) with new SaaS customers.
This company needs a CEO as opposed to those two overpaid useless jokes that have the title but are not doing the job and don't know how to: one ran HP onto the ground and the other is an I banker with poor judgment that's hanging out with DJT. What could possibly go wrong at oracle ?
This company needs revamp of engg leadership at very top. The other issue besides poor products is low morale this team has created.
Requiring internal dev teams to have to use database, weblogic, bloatware. You get the idea. If the dev teams would be allowed to use whatever technology they wanted, then the products would be half decent. Why use weblogic when tomcat will work? Why use the massive database when mysql or cassandra would work? The whole idea was if a customer wanted one product, the revenue would flow into other products. That strategy is not working anymore. Oracle needs to embrace open source and allow their dev teams to use the best technologies to build their products. Only then will quality and demand improve.
It's so funny to watch this train wreck take place in slow motion and no longer having to be part of it 😎
TK couldn't deliver a halfway decent product to save his behind. Trying to do too much. Now mostly everything s---s.
T.K. should have shown the door many years ago. The fact that it hasn't happened is ... telling... and shocking.
TK'a failure for which he has been rewarded with hundreds of millions, check it out in the public filings, he sold all his stock a couple of years ago
Fusion is a complete disaster, horrible code base and unmanageable infrastructure. The burn rate to simply keep Fusion going must be more than whatever the profits are.
