I looked at the wire this morning - search severance . The policy used to be 2 weeks for each yr of service + 1 week per 10k of base pay, max 40. Now it's 2 weeks + 2 week for each year if service , + 1 week per 20k of base pay, max 40. This has changed since January.

What do they do about bonus and RSUs? Do you lose all of that?
They are also allowing you to carry over and self-report up to 5 days of PTO that was rolled from the previous year and keep 5 days from this year. It's paid out of cycle towards the end of the 60 days.
In all honesty, we have it good here. Most companies give 2 weeks, many give nothing. My manager is $&#* and his boss as well, I complain about W and them all the time, but, when you add all up, we have it good here...
Make 100k and 9 yrs
Previous = 9 x2 + 10 = 28
New = 2 + 9x2 + 5 = 25
Alr's math is wrong...
dmp: How do you lose 3 weeks? Doesn't make sense. See the response by alr.
Could be worse. What if they gave no severance?
This would reduce my weeks by 3
Between 0 - 10, 2 weeks added.
Between 10 - 20, 1 week added.
Between 20 - 30, 1 week added.
Between 30 - 40, no change.
Above 40, no change.
This assumes you have to make the entire 10k/20k increment to get the additional week.
