I was waiting in line for security last week at Midland International Air (and Space! lol) Port when I overheard two recruiters with Airswift discussing hiring they were doing for Chevron in the Permian with two other gentlemen. They seemed to imply that they were doing a lot of work for Chevron. Anyone know what positions are being hired? I assume it's mostly field-personnel like operators, mechanics, coordinators, techs, etc., but wouldn't surprise me to see some drilling folks getting hired back on.

MCBU is hiring field support. There are 30 showing up tomorrow for orientation, with 70 expected for next year.
Those weren't recruiters you overheard at the airport. Most likely you heard two plumbers talking to other journeymen in the trade about all the sh!t they have to flush out of the septic tanks at Chevron facilities, mainly those used exclusively by management.
