Margin compression. Coming to a data center near you

Intel's data center growth was already slowing. This will put a halt to any additional growth.

Until AMD delivers, its party on as usual in Intel. Spend spend spend. Groups with unlimited budget will fly everywhere for the smallest excuse for meetings and spend unnecessary! We are still a 60billion revenue company.

It's actually no laughing matter for Intel. Read thru the article, then to the blog link near the bottom: https://community.amd.com/community/amd-business/blog/2017/03/07/datacenter-is-at-the-core

This guy reminds us all that AMD was FIRST to:

  • 64-bit

  • Multiple cores

  • IMC

  • Virtualization

AMD was killing Intel in the early datacenter before everyone woke up and KS led the way to build DCG. Almost everyone forgets how strong and innovative AMD was at that time. Now look at SL-EP and tell me how much real innovation is happening there. It will be another three years before Intel can recover.
