May be so. But the TAM itself will double or more. So Intel will see growth.
You know it's in trouble when it doesn't even participate in the 15% Trump Bump increase. Lol.
Not only will market share drop but to stay in the game the chips will be squeezed on margins. Game over Intel - you will be bleeding and pumping 7 billion into a half empty fab. Oh wait AMD will likely need space to produce all it's chips for their increased market share.
Based on today's news of Microsoft servers. I have to revise my prediction. Intel will have had 90% of the past data center market share. By 2020 it may be going to dominate 50% and sliding. Only because it may be so hard to plan facilities underway. Beyond 2020 all bets are off on the mighty empire that once "was". BK and Larry Ellison can set sail on a yacht as two lovers that once shared a kingdom. Poor Andy Grove!! Only the paranoid survive - he taught this but intel lost it due to over confidence and arrogance. Too bad soo sad. Live long and prosper AMD and my stock investment - coming soon!!!
