Cisco is not about the people deal. It's all about if your mgr likes you and pitches all your accomplishments to upper management. Middle management worthless - most not qualified to manage teams of people and they make the money and receive the stock options...
Customer service- cps- operations was impacted today. I heard 25 plus people and will continue every quarter. Most impacted were 10 years employment and longer..., college hires and outsourcing is the future for Customer service/ operations.
Bay Area house prices, high salaries, rents and high cost of living are main factors for these layoffs, outsourcing and big mess. Life in the valley is not good for your health and sanity.
Sorry for the simple minded question, but is this about the announcement of Cisco shutting down Intercloud on March 2017? Is Spark impacted by any of this? I got LR-ed the end of August 2016 when they cut our whole team, but luckily I got a job with a partner afterward. Need to know what I should avoid focusing on to ensure marketability. My commiseration for the folks that got impacted. I was there. Good luck.

Cisco is always on lay-off mode. Why dont they just shutdown all operations.

1.5 yrs. Unless you have 10+ in cisco they wont kickin extra 1week per year of service over 10
