Reassuring visits....

In leu of the super secret not so earnings report, did any one else have a district "call" or visit today to distract from what was really going on?

We're the district henchmen out in force in your areas as well?

Our DM seems to like wasting everyone's time with daily conference calls and making every store fill out checklists that they have to scan and email to him every other hour. Rather than being able to do helpful things like maybe putting out freight or building layouts, or heck, helping out customers, whoever is the acting manager on duty is bogged down in his busy work for most of their day. It seems like all of this serves only to justify his job by making it look like he's doing something important.

Exactly! This is no different from ANY other retailer. Everyone has visits. Give me a break.

That is what district managers do. They visit stores. It is their job. What would be surprising about a DM coming to a store?

Always on a Thursday. Seems like they would change it up a bit.
