Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Glad I didn't dump my company stock when this board told me too...

Let me guess: get out now. The big crash is literally just around the corner.

Right guys?

Bull markets last 6-10 years, corrections (from peak to trough) take about1-3. Roughly speaking. Said another way, corrections are much faster than rising markets. Markets grind higher, but when the correction comes, you typically don't know about it until after it happens. Down moves are typically waves of big moves down. And, a 50% drop takes 100% gain to get back to even. Very hard to call a top or a bottom. Tops typically take a while to roll over, markets go back and forth for months or a year, then the rug is pulled put and your down 20% off the high. 2-3 years of grinding higher lost in a couple months. Bottoms are usually quicker, but it can take a long time for markets to get back to old highs - years. Individualstocks may not come back as the new rally may focus on different sectors. Average in (on the way up) / average out. Buy low sell high. One more - don't catch a falling knife (or piano) Right now markets are high and Hon is especially high.

PE ratio above 20, feds on the verge of raising interest rates and company leadership laying off engineers in favor of sales staff? Yes, I've been selling.

You would have been better off in an S&P aggregate fund...

Also, having significant exposure in a single stock is risky.
