@kge, Asian employees are not treated any better than other sites. But Asian staff tend to be easier to brainwash. There is regular team building events in Asian sites, and many Intel classes that Asian staff compulsory to attend. These tend to brainwash the staff. And Asian Intelliers tend to hang out together even after office hours and weekends, even going for holidays together. Most have very few friends outside of Intel. All these contribute to the loyalty to Intel! Regular drinking sessions with the bosses are a common thing in Intel Asian sites!

Perhaps employees are treated better in Asia than in the US.
Or perhaps they haven't experienced the "corporate spirit" yet. For a long time I too though it prudent to be loyal to the employer, kind of anticipating it went both ways. At intel it does not, and the earlier people realize that, the better.
In Asean sites, Intelliers will die for Intel. Many give up their families and work ridiculously long hours at Intel. And if u mention one bad thing about Intel, they'll jump and claw at you like you're some demon that they need to rid of! Loyalty is at its peak in Asean sites!
Loyalty usually goes both ways. The corporation stopped ~15 years ago, so why anyone still there would have one iota of loyalty left for the company is beyond me. Stockholm syndrome?

We have confirmed loyalty is down. This is astounding. We have bent over backwards to demonstrate our commitment to our most valuable asset, our employees. We will be rolling out a new mandatory training to improve loyalty. We will survey again in 3 months. If loyalty scores do not improve, further action to correct and/or remove the bad apples will follow.
