Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Can't seem to find my rhythm after the layoffs.

Anyone else feels the same way? I am just waiting for the next corporate email. I just don't feel secure and can't seem to concentrate on the job I have at hand.

Really people!!! Let's get real. Honeywell has been driven by innovation that creates real hands on products. Finance keeps beans in order. Without engineering finance would count what?? And yet they have MIP based on senior engineers that have been bled of HI payroll with PiPs and RIFs . . . Sacrificial lambs. Real value add should be equated to HI layoff decisions. The nine block approach to employee performance is antiquated and takes real performance out of the equation determining salary.

Everyone is expendable except the board and the weasel tree.

It's what they want you to feel. You are an expense item. They want you to go away.

OK, let finance lead the next Honeywell redesign for obsolescence efforts of whatever old technology they want us to milk next. No disrespect to Finace, but unless you are creating or touching a product, you are worthless to Honeywell - except Finace, they cook the book. We all know that.

Finance is busy when the customers aren't paying. Temporary at best.

Actually I am in Aero Finance.

Good pay increase. Good MIP. Enjoying my work right now. I don't like everything that has happened and I feel let down at a lot of decisions that have been made. However, no different to other companies I've been at or friends work at.

You must not be in Aero finance then! They are getting out of Honeywell faster than an ace pitcher's fastball crosses home plate!

I wonder if it matters what functions you're in? I'm finance, not feeling the same way, have plenty to do that is keeping me busy and involved. Feeling pretty good so far this year.

Ditto. Leadership has vanished and those townhall and meetings just left me convinced that all jobs are headed out. I am meeting with our vendorsement that want some of that outsource pie. Hoping for a role in one of our major board suppliers. Everyone I talk to inside is hunkered down avoiding new assignments with any exposure or risk. Looking outside. Lots of busy work....no major projects with paying customers on the horizon. But... my 401k killed it last year

I am having the same dilemma. Glad to hear I am not the only one. I too am looking. It is hard leaving a company I have given so much to, but I can't justify working for a company with no integrity.

I know Honeyhell is watching along with their so called leaders and managers. This must make them feel very good about themselves.

I'm out as of last week and very content with my decision.

Wish you all the very best. There is life after Honeyhell.

Same here. Been that way since last round of layoffs was announced. I'm looking for a job elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.
