Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Dave will be able to retire comfortably

As DC's retirement is getting closer, I have found myself worrying about him and his family and wondering if he will be able to survive without getting his Honeywell paycheck every two weeks. Fortunately after reading the article in this link http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/12/ceo-executives-retirement-income-inequality I can now sleep at night know that he will probably not outlive his money and I wanted to share with those of you on this board that had the same concern.

Actually when we die we all get consumed by maggots... Doesn't matter how much you robbed during your lifetime, CEOs get eaten by worms like all of us will....

Some have left out that DC also had/has the speaker/speech/pony show fees, the pay from being a 2nd-tier backing member of a Federal Reserve Board, & his annual performance bonuses (remember those just after layoff cycles?). Plus the savings from free hotel rooms, free private aircraft travel, free this, entitled that, and pretty soon, that's un-taxed extra income none of us regular folks could dream of. At least (so I've heard) that some years ago country/private clubs used to be tax write off-ed if payed for by companies, and I'd be pretty certain he's had that perk until some point, too, but he might get it still?

Have a heart.

It will be inconceivably difficult for Dave Cote to transition from

~ $2 Million a month compensation

to only ~ 1 million a month-for-life pension,

plus whatever meager savings he has from his $20 million annual salary for the last decade.

You might meet him in the Goodwill store, trying to survive.

Imagine your personal plight if your income was reduced by ~ 1 million a month.

You might be bankrupt in one or two days.

So feel his pain, and be nice.

Funny how anyone could think 170 mil isn't much. It's much greed for sure if not much money. I doubt if he can down it in his life time and I'm sure he goes to contribute much of it to charity.

Who's the moron now?

$170 MILLION you moron. Not that much considering how much he made for the share holders and employees.

Whoever lives closest to DC will need to go "chum" the water off his beachfront every day. It'll increase the odds...

"IF he dies" he will die some day and he will be held accountable by a much higher authority than us here on earth.

I hope he enjoys his wealth as does his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He'll try to take it with him if dies. Hope he doesn't get cremated

Perhaps DC will encounter a school of sharks on his rich-person's private island beach. He's too much well-marbled man-beef for just one shark. Hopefully security cam or a cell phone will catch it. Many will want to see it. A million-hitter.

I think you meant 170 Million rxf. Still an unbelievable amount that puts him in the top 3, and he has been making a ton for several years on top of his retirement.

DC stole away Honeywell corporation's future, and the future of many of its employees to get that cushy retirement. His soul is long-gone. Nothing but a spiritually-empty fat rich guy that most won't want to hang out with, and he'll be too afraid to get out in public much. Maybe he'll get eaten by a shark, soon.

Our wonderful CEO, mr cote, has over $170 BILLION for his retirement fund- in the top 3-

How disgusting, considering what he has done to Honeywell.

You can't take it with you Dave-

All that's left when you are gone is memories and legacy. How sad to have the power to change lives for the better and be well thought of and remembered for the good you left behind- and choose the opposite.
