Did you know sears accepts food stamps and ebt at its sears stores? I have a feeling it's a left over from the grand/essentials days, but theoretically a person could use food stamps to purchase a candy bar a sears!

Yes it can. It's a left over from when the company was experimenting with sears grand (which had groceries). You could still theoretically use it on the candy sears sells
Meant to say ebt can't be used not eat at Sears stores.
You can't use eat at Sears stores maybe Kmart because of groceries.
At stores that are capable of processing the transaction, EBT cash benefit can be used to pay for non-food items. In some states, the EBT food benefit can be used for toilet paper.
Can you use the EBT part for non-food items? I've seen people paying for clothes with their Ebt card at some discount stores I frequent.
