I work in inventory/space planning. Our VP said the axe fell mostly in IT. I don't have any way to verify that.
We supposedly lost some currently-empty positions, but nobody was fired in our area.
For those in inventory/space planning areas that did have layoffs, who got cut? Were these cuts in business units that were doing poorly?
5 of us in inventory were laid off today
Corporate layoffs occur on Thursdays, so, tomorrow might be the extra security as you enter Hoffman day.
I heard of a handful but as mentioned much quieter
Heard some senior HR people got the boot. Monstrous amount of people in stores and regionel leadership
I heard over 100. I'm not sure if that is true but I do know several people who were let go. It was done much quieter.
So it sounds like nothing happened today, except a lot of fear was sown through the ranks. What a toxic place.
