Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

SOP

Let's hire someone asshats to run around with clipboards making sure every department has the proper paperwork on the ten thousand clipboards, ensuring that the TL's spend hours weekly updating these clipboards. Seems like a good idea to me.

It's making departments get organized. You know like almost every other successful grocery company. It's really not that hard and forces teams to be disciplined in their ordering.

If you forget to order something that has a never out yellow chip... it's a write up.

I drove by today and saw that my TL clocked out early. Son of a b--ch! I wanted her to clock out early tomorrow before I get there!

Oh my word! Sounds like every day on the job during several long years at one of the woeful Pittsburgh-area locations. Meanwhile team leaders clock out early to "save on labor" while employees work without breaks and popular products remain out of stock. What a great place to work!

The WFM is dead. 365 is the future if any for Whole Fraud Market.

I remember years ago sitting in a town hall meeting (remember those) led by flash and silverman.both promoted this "go big or go home" idea that they gleaned from walmart.this was when they started building all those big 50k+ sq.ft stores with all the chocolate fountain venues (2003-04).they claimed they had been studying walmart logistics and merchandising techniques. Well sop and walmart might work in regions where the warehousing is efficient and delivers everyday.also our store warehouses s--- in terms of space and efficiency to work product out.bad design to maximize sales floor but totally bad for inventory control and labor.genius...bigly

And how does this fiasco help on the revenue side..we keep doing these hack changes in the back of the house but not addressing our problem with competition and lack of integrated computer systems.
