Does this mean Home Appliances will go to hourly instead of commission? I have heard rumors this will happen, but when? Given the fall of HHGregg Sears is the only commissioned store left. It hardly makes sense to stay that way.

Only positions that will be salaried will be managers and any keyholders, all others will be going to hourly with 35 hours max and also a cut in benefits.

You have to laugh at a person on this site telling others that they are lazy and to stay off of it. Why are you on it and commenting if you have better things to do and are so busy?

@2uoa - When you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything. At this point SHLD is nothing and evidently you have fallen for every ounce of snake oil that Eddie is peddling!

No, I think he meant pheasants. As quickly as this company is circling the drain it won't be long till all the associates fly the coop!

Pheasant. .. we are birds now? Oh you meant peasants. There is nothing the employees can do at this point to return to profitability, regardless of how long or hard they work. The simple fact of the matter is that management is focusing on the wrong things. The company is sunk, and its a matter of who goes down with it.

Our company stopped being great when it stopped trying to be innovative, and sought only to wring profits out by selling assets, cutting costs, and doing only the minimum to stay in business. It is the greed of the leadership that made this company lose its leadership position. No company is great instead of taking opportunities to growand build market share, relies on closing sites, and performing massive layoffs just to stay afloat. This company will never return to profitability, because the owner knows that it worth more dead than alive. The only standing you will be doing, is in the unemployment line.

Actually there is a lot of duplicity within the organization. Why is it necessary to have a seasonal buyer for Sears and a seasonal buyer for Kmart. Similarly, does there need to be separate warehouses and distribution centers for each banner?
