Whatever the outcome this dodo called EDMC will be slashed and burned.

Only the proactive will survive.

Social Darwinism at its best.

@4yya - lol. The DOE doesn't "put its blessing" on anything until there's a full and proper review, which there hasn't been in this case yet. It's nowhere close to 95% done and you're making things up.

4yya, this seems like the most likely scenario and I wonder how fast EDMC will file for bankruptcy once the take over happens to evade pending lawsuits and what remains due to the federal government. I can't believe there's a poster on here talking about how they care about helping students after all the evidence to the contrary. Maybe in the future students will be helped but from the moment Goldman took over in 06 or 08 it was all about exploitation and money making, let's be clear about that. There is no evidence to suggest otherwise, look at the stats.

@4yya.

Thank you for the tales from the crypt-like analysis.

I take it from your syntax/sentence stucture that you may be of Eastern European, possibly Romanian origin.

I must tell you that I am somewhat skeptical of your assertion that TDC may right past wrongs.

At least not in but one lifetime.

4yya- Are you saying teach out schools will stay open until the last student on campus graduates? Wouldn't it cost more to keep them open than the money EDMC can profit from? Why not just shut them all down by July? EDMC is paying people salaries to work 20 minutes a day because there is nothing to do with 15 students left on a campus!

Seems to be 95% done. The CEO has stated that the DOE has put its blessing on this or they would not have announced the sale. The management team and most of Pittsburgh will not cross with the sale. EDMC will remain until tech out schools close and probably dissolve. The debt holders have agreed to losses and lawsuits will only be focused on EDMC. Also new accreditation appears to be on the horizon for all the schools so credits can be transfer between campuses. ACICS is fading away and regardless negotiating from he position of a community based nonprofit with no debt, no taxes and no gainful employment hanging over the colleges heads will push thing faster along. EDMC was the noose around the college's neck and with the management and legal troubles removed the campuses have a chance actual growth again. Since EDMC is selling only the company assets and not its debt and legal troubles Dream Center Foundation has a chance to right the past wrongs.

"Can't wait to see how many students actually enroll with a name like that"

The names of the schools will not change.

Students will not know of the DCF ownership any more than they knew of EDMC -_- except for those stupid posters making claims that "may or may not" happen.

Agreed, it's easy to see how South and Argosy fit into their plan, Ai not so much. It's pretty easy to see a scenario where they shut down Ai and just keep the culinary programs once this deal is done.

Yes. You'll see short TV ads for nursing and assistant physical therapy programs in all markets where South University maintains a presence.

These programs have always been the sweet spot for the for-profits to generate loans.

Undoubtedly has to do with an agreement between TDC and EDMC not to let the brand go to seed before the deal is finalized.

Deceptive and callous to the bitter end.

I'm disgusted that current employees and faculty are pushing the AI commercials on social media. NO respect for those fraudsters.

So as not to be blindsided, would it be too much of a stretch to assume that in the near future, if and when the dream state takes over, should we expect present employees to fall victim to H-1B and other variations on the globalzation theme?

I can see it now, forced to train those from the land where Lord Krishna reigns to be lorded over by those true believers who are promised a special place in heaven but at a fraction of the going rate.

Stay tuned.

Slimey employees and instructors are posting the AI adds on their social media accounts to try to trick students into enrolling. Scum. All of them.

So EDMC will be sold to The Dream Center.

And it is reported that there were other suitors who offered more money for the brands but probably out of a sense of benevolence by EDMC, TDC was determined to be the best fit for the well being of the students which is and always has been EDMC's primary comcern.

So my question is: does anyone other than me find the name The Dream Center pretty much as creepy as it gets? Or what!?!!
