4% with EE, lame, but typical.

Funny, as a new manager in Intel, I tried to give an EE rating to one of my reports (also a new employee) and my boss wouldn't let me. The new guy had done really tough, heroic things. Really busted his @ss. I was overturned and he was given an SSL3.

Inflation rate is ridiculously high in India. Real raise is your raise minus inflation, which is slightly above zero in USA.
question was for Intel US..nevertheless here in India,it's about 8-10%
10% here thanks to BK purging the worthless deadwood losers.
Inflation was 2.7% and housing up 10-20%, gr10 makes 350+, Gr9 250+ and you all know how much BK pays himself and laying off the older folks.
Remember intel ain't your ATM now get back to work!
3.5% was the total budget, more for EE and O.
mine was 2.4 16 yrs grd 7, but 2.5 seems to be us trgt. i will be booted as an incompetent fool in a few years, in the meantime, I will help many people and fix many issues, and my rotational mgr will pretend to understand how i help ( i really do)...but mgr will only focus on kissing whatever he/she can to advance
