Sooner of later, many WFT employees will be laid off. That's what SLB does after it acquires other companies.
The potential for future business will make some vendors to forgive some debt if SLB is in charge. SLB is the primary owner of many vendors.

SLB will destroy WFT just like Cameron, Smith, and many more.
Weatherford does a great job screwing itself. Always has.

You know I drop by this site and read occasionally more for entertainment than anything else. Each time I'm amazed by the comments. WFT trades a business they closed down two months ago and a struggling PDP business that even becomes more difficult without frack for $535M in cash and 30% of the 2nd largest unconventional service company in the largest unconventional market in the world and some here think it's a sign of desperation or weakness. Unbelievable... I say brilliant move WFT. One of the best plays with highest likelihood of success I've seen in some time. Worst case SLB buys the whole thing out 2 years from now for $1B.
I hope the deal goes through. WFT definitely (still) needs stronger management.
