They should furlough us for weeks. Bring it on!

More time to find and apply for better jobs. They want to see how bad attrition can get I guess.

Oh yeah Tim Baloney for 2016 got a cash bonus nearly equal to his 900k base pay , add in several million in stock and options. WE the workers saw no merit increase, endured furloughs , seen fellow workers get RIF'd . Lost a day of holiday this year.

His compensation is posted on salary.com .

Madsen had a skip level with some Aero directors and he let the cat out of the bag, definitely a furlough and other "cost actions" coming in Q2. This was told by a nice little birdie that was in the room.

The problem is every Honeywell employee is overpaid from top to bottom and are the laziest employees that is why who is left there can not get jobs out side of Honeywell, stay there cause no one else wants you and you really don't want to work hard do you?????

The robber barrons are in charge. They don't care about talent, knowledge, how hard you work, people. They care about cash. Sell things, and get cash. The pace of people leaving really picked up around 2012. The last 18 months have been a panic to get older guys, higher pay guys off the payroll. Not sure how Hon avoids age discrimination lawsuit.

The problem that management either doesn't see, or won't admit, is that as they achieve their OEF targets through natural attrition they are losing knowledge and talent that can't be replaced. They are using metrics to track how high the pile of dirt is and don't see that they are achieving those targets because the hole they are digging for themselves keeps getting deeper and that's where the pile of dirt is coming from. I guess I'm too simple minded...maybe if I had my MBA I could sit in a room at corporate and everything would make much more sense.

Natural attrition would be through more people leaving and I don't think that will be a problem.

We are hearing no RIF in Q2 but management believes our OEF target will be reached through natural attrition. OEF =organizational efficiency target which means cost cuts and head count reductions

So what would drive OEF via natural attrition? A furlough or pay rate permanent reductions. ??

On the verge of resigning, as I've been rejected for VRIF three times. I'll take some comfort though, in knowing that a VRIF would have prevented me from blowing the whistle on some of the severely unqualified and brainless idiots playing god with the company's money and time, whereas resigning will allow me to expose some very inconvenient truths. Hopefully, it will benefit those I leave behind. Stay tuned!

Too many years of the Fantasy Foreigner League (FFL) to take over AND OWNERSHIP, to fill in the holes left by those who left, and those still there who can't fill them. It never worked and it never will.

Feels like sky harbor loses at least 2 or 3 people per week. I know of a finance person who went to another company after 4 years at HON. Got a 40% increase in base pay plus all the benefits. The brain drain will not stop.

I was in a meeting this week when it was finally admitted that the main reason for projects not happening faster is due to lack of knowledge and lack of manpower. In short, just not enough talent left to get things done.

Undoubtedly, HON welcomes this phenomenon as an opportunity to replace highly competitive sated individuals with college grads who won't complain about getting bent over a barrel. That would work, except the word is out to stay away from HON as they hire and fire. The consensus is, get some experience at HON, then leave at the earliest opportunity. It's a throw away/starter job.

Sorry Tim and Dairyass. The jig is up.

AM (Advanced Materials) is already saying they will not make their numbers for the year. They do not have to do a RIF at least 6 people I know this week resigned.

I'm thinking 10% pay reduction and no layoffs

With everyone being forced out or leaving on their own, the ALT might have to draw straws to see who is next to be RIF'd

So many people that I knew have left in the past 4 months. I am not sure if they lay off anyone.

Only if they change the direction of company

Let's see how Q1 shakes out. Make the numbers, all is well, miss the numbers and who knows.

With all the great employees either leaving or gone, they may want to take other actions.
