I've been laid off. No surprise here - I'm remote, services, part time, and (here is the tough part) a week short of 61 years old. So I will be riffed officially 9 months before I was eligible to retire. Too bad.

what dept? is there any chance you can stay on and work in another area to qualify or any chance to negotiate that as a part of the severance?
