Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

BE SURE TO SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, CHURCH MEMBERS, ETC

I HAVE SHARED WITH ANYONE NEAR MEDICARE AGE OR THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS FIRST HAND WHAT I OBSERVED OR THE LAST MANY YEARS WITH THIS COMPANY. I'VE ENCOURAGED THEM TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS INSURANCE. THE HORRIBLE CARE, COSTLY COVERAGE, INCREASING COPAYS AND DECREASING "MEDICARE ADVANTAGE" BENEFITS!!!! THIS COMPANY MAY HAVE BEEN SOMETHING DIFFERENT YEARS AGO, BUT THIS COMPANY SHOULD NO LONGER BE ABLE TO BE A MEDICARE VENDOR AS THEY TRIED TO ADVOCATE FOR A MARKET MONOPOLY WITH AETNA....., IT WAS A TELLING SIGN OF THEIR INTENT AND BOTTOM DOLLAR. SAVE PEOPLE FROM DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY AS THIS COMPANY IS ACTIVELY DISSEMBLING AND NOT INTENT UNDER CURRENT SHAREHOLDERS TO DO RIGHT FOR ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES.

That pro Humana post above was from our lil MF trolling this site. I think his only job now is being locked away in some room putting up his delusional pro Humana posts.

I had Humana insurance last year and I had to pay up front for the pediatrician visits because Humana did not pay the practice in a timely manor. My sons medication cost 260.00 a month and another child's medication was 325.00 a month. We changed insurance companies and we pay a total of 55.00 dollars for all medications .We see the same md and we pay our copay and then billed what our insurance company does not pay. We do not have to pay any other fees upfront . We did not have a high deductible plan

Humana does not pay out more for services then traditional Medicare. Read up on the subject.

What are you talking about??? Members aren't getting terrible care. The data suggests otherwise. Much better outcomes than trad Medicare. Have you seen what a cancer patient pays on regular Medicare? They can go bankrupt. No one goes bankrupt here cause there are maximum out of pocket costs. I get the frustration ...and go ahead and socialize your disgust. No one will care to any degree really and you will just stay angry. It's a waste of your energy that you could use to take care of yourself now. That's the harsh reality.

I always think, "if this were my own family member trying to get help, I'd be so angry with how they are treated." Not just the insurance concerns, but what if one of my family members were told they can't refuse care management calls, then enrolled in IVR robot calls with no choice in the matter, harassed with endless surveys, and then, when they finally stop answering the phone, their doctor's office is stalked for alternate numbers, without their permission.

Then, when the time comes that they actually need help with something, they are given the runaround. If my own family members were treated in this manner, I would be livid.

Amen! I agree poster. They are ripping members off every chance they get. People are better off with straight medicare. The constant denials and excuses for not covering necessary care has truly gotten out of hand. The elderly are suffering and this company is a big reason why.
