Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Hub Locations

Location strategy document recently sent to the entire CFO org says "our desire is to concentrate resources into hub locations and reduce participation in the MyWork program". Besides Charlotte, Plano, NYC, and possibly Wilmington, what other locations are considered "hubs"? Executives love to throw this term around but no one ever defines it.

Although my mailstop is at a hub location, I got a written exception 2 years ago from a Band 2 leader to allow me to move 80 miles away based on a elder care situation. My friend works on the other side of the country, is within 25 miles of a hub location but cannot drive due to disability. How will hardship exceptions be treated with regard to my work?

The MyWork restructuring hubs are the following:

Agoura Hills, CA

Concord, CA

Atlanta, GA

Jacksonville, FL

Plano, TX

Hopewell, NJ

Charlotte, NC

Newark, DE

New York, NY

If your team is spread over more than two locations and you are working in a third/fourth/fifth location that has fewer associates from LOB, you will be prioritized for layoffs. If you do not relocate, you will be laid off. Enjoy the job search.

Hubs typically include Addison, Simi Valley, and sometimes Chandler as well.
