Keep in mind that the source of the rumor published on the TheRegister site is a rumor from this board, which in turn, quotes the TheRegister article.

It starts at the top, MH, SC, and LE don't care about the customers, everything else follow from there

@N7J2t7l-tej...So right about your thoughts of Oracle, the cancer needs to be cured. Oracle is better off with a mass layoff. It's all all about covering your a-- at Oracle, no one cares anymore at the expense of the customers.

This approach of calling everything fake news and denying the most fundamental facts in a futile and desperate effort to rewrite history is almost funny. On reality it is totally stupid. It almost looks like MH is writing it himself, I mean who else could write all this garbage

Truth be told, Oracle's support is the worst, Oracle gives the impression that it built so many departments to deal with Cloud issues, but when push comes to shove, everybody moves papers and makes sure they cover their backs (from backstabbing) with elaborated procedures. Oracle's support is a foggy cloud in and of itself, you ask about an issue on one side and get smoke on the other side. Pre-sales not far behind, it's quite tragic really that the mass layoff got canceled.

No matter what is said, what is true is that Oracle and Mark Hurd don't care about customers. With the previous restructuring and layoffs of tech support to low cost centres in APAC and EMEA Oracle's customer service is now weak and ineffective with the new engineers unable to triage basic issues and keep customers engaged. This negative perception towards Oracle and MH has now affected their ability to get new business whether on-prem or cloud despite all the fancy ppt slides on what technology they have to beat the competition. Now we are finally seeing the effects of these moves and Oracle is now making more cuts so they can hit their targets and hide the fact that their business is failing - at least in APAC region anyway.

Oracle is now a slow-moving train wreck and nothing will save it.

GLTA who are still at Oracle.
