I'm a Rep. for the Appliance Department. All my stores are down in sales, No employees covering the departments. Customer's leaving for Home Depot. Lowe's morale is very low. I cover a large amount of stores and the sales loss for my company is unbelievable, is Lowe's trying to be the next Sears?
Things are worst then you think.
Most employees in the store I work in seem to still care, I know I still care even though they eliminated my department manager position and I am a temp. employee now! I liked my job, I liked the company I worked for...it's the store manager who does not care. He is rarely on the sales floor In fact we hope to see a change of management so the store can get some direction. Our store seems to get by despite the lack of direction and leadership.
Most employees I talk to just say they don't care any more. Do enough to get paid and that's it. I don't like going to work at all. Used to be different but turnover is so high now.
