So here is the skinny from a DM level on layoffs for the SS position, it simply isn't going to happen. Understand that the SS position is a performance based position so layoffs are not needed. Instead what is going to happen is just a tightening of the rules. So if you are asked to position an item with every customer it is expected that you do so. If you fail then there will be accountability. The bottom 20% of The SS position will be put on reviews and will progress if performance is not met. Luckily for our company firing somebody for not doing their job or performance is cheaper than laying them off.

They will just continue increasing quota. It's the easiest way to get rid of people by making it harder and harder to meet quota . It's really sad that the boneheads in charge aren't being held accountable for their idiotic mistakes and lack of vision instead it's the frontline that makes this company the money it has that are punished.
