Well, no info from Oracle, of course, my guess is that we're talking about 2,500 people being laid off on 6/1. Thoughts ?

2000 is a far cry from the 10-20K predicted and rumored from those on this board.
Can confirm that OD is not doing layoffs, but they are using it as an opportunity to fire some pretty bad performers. Firings had been basically unheard of for the last 3 years in OD and was the subject of intense gossip whenever it did happen.
Many like seeing them go, but there is an argument to be made that sh--ty internal tools and other things made them bad performers in the first place....
I heard it was more like 4,000 to 6,000.
Just from people I know in OD and field in north america, I can attest to several hundred receiving the axe.
Globally among all LOBs I would say 2,000 most likely, including all of the targeted firing before june 1 layoff.

Based on the anecdotal info on this board, and Chowdhry's comments, the total's probably somewhere between ~100 and 26,000.
Cloud division not safe!
I think HW will be hit hard but Cloud divisions will be safe. If you are in MySQL, Any HW division, or EBS, you better start looking
