Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Customer Support SaaS was hit today!

Long time employees that were high performers RIFd. Checked in with US ERP sales and HCM sales this morning and heard no chatter there, all seemed fine.

There were no RIFs in my org today though there were some in the recent past. I think everyone else has posted where the rest of the RIFs happened on other threads, at least any I heard about.

More CSM layoffs and "reassignments" are taking place today as the re-org rolls out and accounts are reassigned based on annual SaaS "spend levels" with Oracle cloud based software products.

This is happening across all groups in any SaaS "BU". This is in addition to what's been reported on this board for HW Support and On Premise Software Support and such.

The SaaS family affected by layoffs is the Customer Xperience group, aka CX. CX sells and supports (or did sell) the CRM competitor to Salesforce.com called Oracle Sales Cloud. They also sell Oracle CPQ and some other stuff. They were hit hard last year too. CX SaaS group just continues to shrivel up.

@NANb2UA-pub, are you talking about FA CRM? (Would not surprise me, that stuff has always been way too buggy to sell effectively.)

I was in Customer Support and let go today. Our division had about 40 let go of about 400 total CSM's. Handled CRM which is a dying product for them as hardly any new customers came our way in the last two years.
