Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

I met some great people, yet...

Oracle, sadly, is the worst company I have ever worked at in my entire 30 year career span. I met some great people - please don't get me wrong, but what incredibly bad leadership. What kind of sick psychotic human being (s) think up this abusive method?

If you are in enterprise tech and you are not 90% cloud - you have issues and layoffs today.

The list of companies struggling and laying off people is super long.

This list of companies cutting headcount in a major way is too long: IBM, Dell, EMC, Netapp, Intel, Qualcomm, Citrix, HPE, CSC, DXC, Honeywell, Xerox, Legacy MSFT, SAP (to an extent - check out their board), Cisco, Indian Pure Players, Manhattan Associates, Telcos (VZ, ATT, Altice), Avaya, WD, Seagate, VMWare

Blue collar got destroyed, they are destroying white collar world right now - all that's remaining is New Collar (Google, Facebook, Tesla, etc.) but they have notoriously low headocunt if compared to the share of the pie they grab - this is not going to be enough to compensate for all blue/white collar job loses.

If you think that 2016 elections were nuts, wait until you see what's ahead of us when the nation collectively goes insane because of the jobs mess we are currently in.

Practically every major company is going through this exact same scenario right now. You might want to venture out beyond the Oracle thread and read what people are saying at Intel, IBM, Dell, etc.

This isn't about Oracle, it's much bigger.
