how did you know you were laid off if you did not receive your package?

try logging into vpn and check aria to see if you are still on the system.

or call HR to ask

I was laid off on Thursday but haven't received a FedEx package. Who should I inquire to? My boss was also laid off - and half my CX org too.

Let the person vent! and take it easy on your fellow man, excuse me, person. Each is having to deal with this in their own way and sort it out. Where else can they go to vent and get some kind of empathy? Sh-- ain't easy when you gave your life to a co a long time and your holding this bullshiit FedEx package trying to understand that plus why you are even gone in the first place....anyway good luck dood on processing it and f--- these other know-it-alls. Taking me a while too, man....

No Entitlement - It's Discrimination and Not Honoring Their Commitment equal to the commitment I Provided Them - But Yeah @NByMDxK-hoq I get it and will get on with it. Thanks.

Oracle is an industry innovator because our employees know how to think outside the box. Therefore, it makes no sense to limit ourselves or them by putting any of our employees, applicants, partners, or even suppliers into a box based on their race, color, ethnicity, gender identity, s-xual orientation, socio-economic status, AGE, culture, religious and political beliefs, physical challenges, or varying viewpoints and approaches.

That's why we accept, respect, and fully embrace the many dimensions of diversity—diversity and inclusion is part of who we are. The diversity of our U.S. workforce reflects our customers, partners, suppliers, and the communities in which we live and work.

OP is correct, and to broaden the scope out further. Many work for tech companies or companies that are tech savvy, and are thus afraid to say anything here due to the possibility of being identified via an IP address or device.

I'd say it's more than the 99%, more like the 99.99%

I agree with the sentiments of @NByMDxK-siw

gone are the good old days of pensions and lifetime employment in the private sectors.

while I do feel bad with those let go this week, this is a normal thing in todays world and it's incumbent on all of us to prepare.

all those who feel otherwise are entitled to their opinions, but I don't have any sympathy for you when you whine about being tossed out.

This is a hire and fire place especially IT. So we have to be prepared always.

Having said that, no doubt there IS age discrimination along with other discrimination too. However, it's always hard to prove and the law sides with employers. So we have to get on with it.

Some companies give option for early retirement with 2+ year full with benefits . Yes tossing away a 20 year veteran who was obviously good to have lasted this long IS age discrimination .

What an a--hole comment - maybe he had a lot of kids in college, maybe .. who cares, point being no matter what the age - like s-xual harassment, age discrimination is wrong and treating any employee like the way O does is totally wrong man.. what's wrong with you anyways? ....

Face it, if your 62 and made this far you should of been smart enough to have saved for retirement. Getting tossed out at this age should be a blessing, you got 6 months pay and any vested stock options. You had a 401K, some matching and possible stock awards, if you didn't then who is to blame? Get over it, enjoy your retirement or find another job. It happens everywhere and it's not just Oracle.

The only job board left is the new AARP job board - what a cruel thing to toss people aside at 62 - nature shows the right balance of men and women, aged through young would be best, thanks a lot MH and SC and LE, where is my 20 year pin or plaque of appreciation? For the young and STOOPID and don't think anything of this - 25 turns into 45 in a blink of an eye and 45 turns into 65 so ..
