The conversion programming teams across all platforms felt their first loss last week when 3+ employees were cut from each team in addition to other departments. The plan for the conversion programming teams is to eliminate the U.S. Employees by 75% over the next 1-2 years and be replaced by FGS(India). Therefore there will likely be cuts every 6 months until about 2-3 are left on each platform strictly to handle the banks and their jobs won't even be programming anymore. I can tell you as a Precision conversion programmer, Precision as a product won't survive this transition as FGS can't grasp our process or coding language. I assume new Precision conversions will be dead in the water within 12 months if they keep moving full steam ahead. This will lead to massive amounts of cuts in other supporting departments as well. Good luck.

After 22 years of dedicated work, I was "laid off due to restructuring". They said I could accept another position within the company but who wants to get laid off and then get hired by the same company that is going to lay you off maybe next year, month or day. NOT HAPPENING.
Maybe it's time they found out...
I wonder how our banks would feel if they knew sensitive information was being sent to India.
You're correct about development. They've been chipping away at them for a long time unfortunately. There aren't many left in that area. It's very unfortunate. Morale is at an all time low.
This wasn't just conversions. It was development teams from all applications. It was a very large RIF and it was aimed at long timers with tenured salaries. And you are correct, FGS is getting the work.
