Thread regarding Wal-Mart Stores Inc. layoffs

The Survey is Coming

They will have the survey. I expect dismal ratings across the board. Everywhere. Then management will get that puzzled look on their face wondering why they scored so low and morale is in the dumper.

My favorite question is would you recommend working at WM to a friend or relative. It's all I can do to burst out laughing.

The surveys are not Anonymous... You have to sign into the system to get to the Survey!!! They know exactly who said what!

Why ask for personal info on an anonymous survey. Very fishy.

Ok, so I studied statistics . My thought is to score tens all the way across regardless of question and that way the score will be thrown out if the company is serious about ratings. Everybody score the highest score on the AES and there cannot be any retribution and you do not provide any data the company thrives on .

Most of all the personal information requested does not have to be reality it can be whatever you come up with . Feedback the same we are being fed

Our boss is being extra nice at the moment. Survey should be soon.

It's smart not to over extend yourself right now. I think there's a major housing bubble building anyhow, but income from a Walmart job doesn't feel reliable at the moment.

I score mine honestly... at this point I am so jaded and really dont fear if i get laid off... i have learned to keep my linked in up to date as well as my resume...

myself and I knew quite a few other people at the homeoffice have trimmed our budgets down so that we can survive on just one income... I wanted to buy a larger home in nwa... but am going to wait and just keep saving... I have it now so that if i get laid off we can live on my wife's income and vice versa...

it is a new sad reality working at walmart

Yeah. I wonder if they know if you refuse to take the survey. Can they track who didn't answer at all?

I took the AES (previously, AOS) this past week. I was too scared of retribution to score honestly, especially since on ours (maybe on all AES?), they ask for personal info at the end that makes it too easy to identify you. They say it's anonymous, but why then do they ask birth year, record of service, department, ethnicity, etc. HR has all of these stats on file, keep it off the survey!!!

I think people are too scared to score them accurately.

I hope the survey does come. I hope every Walmart Associate in ISD takes the survey honestly and gives leadership exactly what they deserve - both barrels. This year, they really deserve it.

They've laid off tons of people in their ISD division too. The rumors are that the jobs are being given to H1b visas and offshore capped to Bangalore. Don't know if that is true though so take it with a grain of salt.

What was the deal with Kelloggs?

And Walmart is the main culprit for the 8000k+ layoffs across the US from the shut down of the Kelloggs DSD system. and 8000k is probably low.

That's why I will spend 0$ at China Mart and 0$ on Kelloggs until my last breath.
