I'm not in AZ, but more cuts are coming. If you hold an office position, be prepared... more cuts are coming. They can't cut too many jobs at one time because that makes headlines. They learned their lesson when they cut thousands of demo jobs a few years back.

I'm in an office position and I don't make anymore money than anyone else all the new hires get hired at $10.50 most get hired above that I've been with company 10 years lots of new hires getting paid a few cents less than me all the pay raises the last two years not one long term employee got anything only new employees or ones that had been there a year or two it's like they said screw you for your loyalty were gonna give someone who's been here two years a three dollar raise in 2 years and you get .40 for those 2 years
office and recv are making the most money, they want them gone. there was no lesson to be learned thru the demo dept none of them were making any real money. it was bad publicity but walmart really doesn't care. it's temporary. they are only focused on money and had they laid off all office and recv country wide at once they didn't want to pay that much severance at one time. sam's will have to transition others to cover these jobs. PTC will in all probability fall on AP mgr. many will not want that new task.
Does someone thing Az is being singled out? I know our market with audit was the testing pilot for the new count system. We had many conference calls with our market APM and people in Arkansas. In the beginning (not even a year ago) we were all on a call and ensured this new easier system would not cause any cuts to the audit team. We all worked hard to report back with bugs and changes that needed to be made. It was very stressful getting all audits done and working with this new counts crap. And what happened??? They cut every single one of us!! I know our market manager wasn't lying to us, but no doubt she was lied to! Just an example of how underhanded and deceiving this company is.
