Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Existing Oraclers: GET SMART, GET an EXIT STRATEGY

If you're in sales --get whatever deals you have closed this quarter and concurrently line up a new job and get the hell out .

The meritocracy, or the meat grinder or whatever dysfunctional oracle sales org description is not going to changes

Get paid get out. Be smart .

If you don't have any deals start looking for a new Job now.

ALL other positions -- start now finding alternatives. You do not want to still be here in October . Regardless of how good your product may be.... which all are dicey at best if it a SaaS product or suite.

Again, be smart.

Maybe not, but you still need to try to get ahead of the pack if you want a meal ticket.

Better now than when 20K of your closest friends fight for the same position.

It's a sad state of affairs.

Still for Safra and her chums, they did well out of. After all their 'hard work' they're now part of the super-rich clique, Oracle was good for them.

Been working at an IT system integrator company for 15 years doing Siebel and other Oracle products. We don't have any new Oracle business coming in anymore. Clients are spending all their new money on non-Oracle Cloud and keeping existing Oracle apps only on lights on mode till they move out of Oracle. When we show them Oracle Cloud Crap, we think ourselves lucky if we just get an audience with the client. Oracle Cloud is horrid. Just moving the on premise fusion to the internet isn't cloud. See what aws, azure have done. It needs a complete rehaul and Oracle is jammed up in its internal silo fusion politics. Oracle is late, arrogant, unable to see the reality, and dying. System integrator shops like Wipro, Accenture, Deloitte, Infosys dependant on oracle are in major pain and their Oracle employees are getting laid off. Oracle is a fast sinking ship. Find another while you are still afloat.
