Odessa area is the LAST place they should be looking to close. If it wasnt for the permian and midcon regions wft would fold. Shut down the rockies and California. Issue with Odessa is that WFT is not prepared there. The area has been moving towards gas lift while good old WFT kept focusing on pumping units - now management seems like they are surprised they are not selling pumping. Issue is that there are loads of suppliers out there that will sell you kit and WFT is still attempting to get their premium prices. Also, don't forget they have let go of around 18,000 people in the last year (some needed to go, some were quality folks) and pressure pumping shuttered at the start of the year. Not sure what that leaves you, except playing catch up.
