" I think you will be surprised at how well we bring new companies into the fold."

Yes, surprised how after the budget for integration runs out just how little integration has taken place.

I've been with CSC for a very long time and the number of fully integrated acquisitions I've seen is practically zero.

The finances get integrated, email gets integrated but nothing else. The main thing that gets integrated is that empolyees names get added to the great sorting spreadsheet for RIFs.

Its not pain for the small companies, but rather pain for the employees of the so called small companies. Once the company is taken over and the business is integrated the employees of that "small company" are then picked for layoff. HP used to do the same .. acquire many businesses/small companies and kill the competition. However, the employees were retrained for other tasks/roles, in CSC/DXC it seems to be a bit different.

Sentence #2

"This always creates pain for many of the small companies..."

Seriously, I hope you see the humour in your post. I do...

At CSC we used to say the company name stood for a Collection of Small Companies. I think you will be surprised at how well we bring new companies into the fold. This always creates pain for many of the small companies, but it always done to eliminate costs.

Good point @jpi

I found this listing of the recent acquisitions by CSC. 2015 was a busy year, with two major ones in 2016. Considering the number of acquisitions in a relatively short period of time, CSC and these companies have not had the time to assimilate and function as a single company.

As a member of one of these acquired companies, I know for a fact the issues my peers and management are having letting go of the old ways, admitting they have no clue how to function in the CSC way, only to have to turn around and now deal with the merger to DXC.

I can't see anything but struggles in the future to simply perform the basic fundamental work a company the size of DXC is suppose to provide.

Eye opening.

CSC is made up of many fragmented parts of other companies. It is fruitless to try to organize this mess into anything. They are doomed to fail. People, systems, tools, common sense, and best shore differences will only make it worse. Good Luck
