Competitor offers a job: What to do?

Is it better to stay with Dell/EMC because I may get a fat severance package or accept 220k offer from competition (40k raise with 35k in base pay). I am 50 plus and long time EMC employee.

If Dell bonus is not 100% funded raise could be actually more significant.

Go with the competitor! Especially over 50. I too was with Dell for 16 years. Part of workforce reduction in Jan this year after merger. My entire team! Majority of us over 50.
