It varies, but typically the finance people will want you to be paid out severance in an outsourcing arrangement. This is because the new company does not want to carry all your length-of-service obligations (including severance) and you get a new contract. That would then affect the final price, since if they have to carry those obligations, the price will increase because then they are forced into carrying you with a benefit load that they wouldn't feel happy with offering.

Do you know in Jungo's case was Cisco HR involved in any of the offer negotiation? From what I gather my meeting is only with Lt believe for this scenario Cisco will be offering termination from them and joining HR. Regardless I am engaging a lawyer because I have a feeling I will get screwed with the severances offer by L&T versus Cisco.
Do you know of anyone that refused the offer and therefore Cisco had to LR them?

I heard two things by reliable sources. First, those being outsourced are also getting the full Cisco package. This is possibly a sign that this is a temporary arrangement and the transfer is a short term arrangement.
Second, no one being outsourced to L&T has a clear idea what this means. Things may become clearer on Wednesday when a delegation arrives from India

I left cisco and must say that my life are better now: salary is higher, managers are MUCH better (!), business are great.
I do understand why cisco still needs you (at least for 1 more year-yeah?)...I dont understand why YOU need cisco.
