This is a prime opportunity for GE to "reorganize staffing" and involuntarily layoff employees due to their "role being eliminated." GE can pick and choose to terminate the older and higher salaried employees and justify it by "role elimination." If you are one of those folks and you've been offered a severance package, you should strongly consider taking it. These are dangerous times at GE for the older seasoned employees.

Anyone eligible that didn't volunteer for this made a bad mistake imo
Absolutely agree and I will do :) shame they don't value experience much though, still their loss is another companies' or individuals gain...
