Clear Pontiac out. Give those puppets a taste of there own medicine. Move so called USPS jobs to Puerto Rico and put those arrogant USPS folks in Pontiac out of work. They think they walk on water. DO IT. Now it'd be very good time to do it as all attention is on different things!

Plenty of jobs in SE Michigan, if you are a developer or otherwise have technical skills, but managers? Not so much. As for GM, they are hiring engineers, but make sure you have a degree.
If you are willing to commute to downtown Detroit, there are lots of technical jobs paying better rates than HP ever did. I'm happily employed with job security and good pay - and I have recruiters begging me to talk to other employers; seems like some of my ex-colleagues could find pretty decent jobs if they just go out there and test the waters.
Read a book or listen to Ray Charles until you get the boot. Mike and Mike are controlling your destiny.

GM is not hiring. They have a hard enough time selling $35000 dollar cars and economy is slowing and inventory on hand is high. Who are the nuts buying these 1/2 ton metal cans? Sporadic mfg shutdowns now. GM Stock is DEAD in the water and TESLA is going to strong. GM is dead money, people, and work. They are clueless on what to do next. They better conserve cash to pay those brain dead executives who can't grow the company. CEO is passive and not agressive like Tesla. Overpaid and overtaxed employees are going to get burned again when GM Liabilities come due. Ford is that and more. Ford is shuffling executives. A former Athletic Director is now running Ford how funny. You have to pass a psycho test at Ford to be hired there. Test is a joke and used to filter who they want to hire. Fiat Chrysler is your best bet or some OEM Auto Supplier. Trump better get his ACA and Tax Cuts passed or you will be stuck with a Democratic Party who is splitting ranks with Bernard Sandwich. The Peoples Party is the new Party how funny. Glad I am out of this freeking rat race. Going to Fiji next week and drink run and cokes. Lots of excitement to watch.
To those in Pontiac, the big 3 are hiring the ex-EDS 'bums'. They LOVE EDS alumni, but not HP/HPE (https://www.linkedin.com/groups/60016). Guaranteed more $, raises, better benefits, but you do lose some vacation time (3 weeks to start). If you got to Ford, no worries about off-shoring. GM does off shore for ITO like work, but not for apps work. Ford (Dearborn) has no city tax like Pontiac. GM in Detroit does (higher than Pontiac).

Pontiac is the biggest mafia - legacy EDS bums are stationed there. Have zero accounts in that area that bring in any recognizable revenue - hearing some of the guys in pontiac literally live on accounts which are in canada - apparently canada commerce bank is a big account 300 mil or so and pontiac yahoos live out of that account as well.
