I heard two things by reliable sources. First, those being outsourced are also getting the full Cisco package. This is possibly a sign that this is a temporary arrangement and the transfer is a short term arrangement.
Second, no one being outsourced to L&T has a clear idea what this means. Things may become clearer on Wednesday when a delegation arrives from India

When are we going to start outsourcing the ELT? Surely a few of those SVP/VPs can take their full package (atleast a few million, plus the chance to come back when they are re-acquired via some sh*tty startup).
And we were promised long term careers at Cisco...So don't take anything for granted. Sorry that sounds s---y, but that's the way it is. Start looking now.

Plenty of jobs regularly come back after being outsourced. I can't name a single one, but I'm sure there are plenty
The arrangement is not temporary, but it sounds like a marriage of convience. I could be wrong, but once L&T learn what they need to know, those jobs could/will migrate elsewhere, probably India. I wish all the outsourced people well. I hope it works out, but given what we have learned over the last 4-5 years, I am very cynical about this move.
