Don't worry, the next company I join will probably be bought by Intel in a few years and I'll rake in some nice $$$ as part of the acquisition.

It's sad to watch all this, but if the cuts are true it makes sense it would be stealthy ala 2015. In this manner, disinformation and lack of real info can be used to keep people on key projects off balance and less likely to leave. The 37% to 32% OpX cut as driver also makes sense, with the notion that the other 2% can be done later if revenue doesn't raise the denominator.
I would guess the package at best reverts to the old standby -- 8 weeks base + a variable amount based on years of service. If all this is true, it would be helpful for someone impacted to confirm/amend this. If all this is false, let's here someone quote an executive saying that absolutely no cuts are taking place.

i had meetings with three different people impacted across different groups and geos today. Intel is so depressing, after ACT the endless turmoil is dragging on and on. I have seen Intel evolve through the years, and we have had touch action in the -ast, but this is by far the most inhumane and insane chapter in the company's history, where employees are treated as liabilities. i have a good review history, but time to start looking outside on my own terms versus watching the destruction of workforce morale much longer.
The only stability seems to be the double digit pay increases BK self rationalizes each year.

Remember BKs description of ACT and how it will continue into 2017. He's never said it was completed. There's always some qualifier. Murthy is the hatchet man. He'll announce it and take the heat.
