We should request Sears HR first lay off Indians/Chinese/other citizen then US citizen. No one is challenging this in court to save our jobs. We need to be united and take legal action on forging national as they are taking our jobs.

Those who think Indians taking our jobs should write email to Sears HR keep Trump in loop or his representative situation will improve.

I am with sears from many years almost last 30 years .Sears have given me lot in last 28 years. Last 2 years are difficult. If i close my eyes and go back I see because of sears I achieved lots of in my life. Only last 2 years we are facing problems. For last 2 years problems but gave me 28 years of good life. Even I can hate Eddie or Indians who took our jobs. But this feeling is only in last 2 years as sears not doing well. My point is sears have given us lot for many years. Many big organizations fall over the period of time. We should be proud of sears as sears gave jobs to many in last 140 years. It will die one day. Amazon too will die one day. Every successful person/organization/nation gone die one day. We should accept truth Sears done a lot of us for our country in last 140 years. Sears as great company give respect as we worked with sears for many years.

I agree with you we all are going thru difficult situation. We need to be positive and work hard or need to change our job. My only point is our complaining nature will not help us or anyone else.

I am not able to sleep if I think negative about sears. I am frustrated like you all but it creates more problems for me. So I decided instead of complaining work hard for sears and at the same time look for job outside.

@1qav; Too true. Our DM demanded that we hire about two dozen more floor associates after seeing our backlog of freight. Oh wait, we wouldn't be getting any additional payroll to compensate for hiring that many people, so each one get maybe 2-3 hours a week? Sure, that'll make it super-easy to hire people.

1xtr- Totally agree with you on many points, but... how can we work hard, fight to make a profit, give great customer service, sacrifice when any and every tool, process, rule, meeting, piece of equipment, atmosphere, and incentive to do those things go against us?

Having no hours, no raises, broken equipment, old fixtures, cheap merchandise, problem deliveries, problem service calls, no parts, no supplies, no store maintenance, dangerous working conditions, no leadership, antiquated computers, threats of closings and layoffs, high turnover, loss of benefits, constant meetings and conference calls to tell us how poorly we are doing and to get more SYW sign-ups, credit card sign-ups, while the store goes down the tubes and on and on does not lead on to want to sacrifice.

Many of us have sacrificed, worked off the clock, done multiple jobs, cleaned restrooms, spent our own money on supplies, spent decades working for this company yet nothing we say, do or suggest does any good. We can't hire anyone because there are no hours, we are the lowest paying store in our county, we have no incentives (raises) so why would anyone work here?

Don't blame the people in India they are only working like the rest of us.

Try to see positive things in company where you are working. Be positive and have hope work hard work smart. Few days are good few are bad. Try to face bad days. Don’t always complain where you work or places you visit. We are on earth not heaven. Accept challenge difficult conditions and come out as winner. Be proud of sears and fight like soldier to make sears profitable.

If all employees of sears think negative like sears will get doomed soon don’t blame to Eddie only.

Every successful organization/ nation needs positive energetic people who are ready to sacrifice everything. Those who are narrow minded, selfish will not understand this.

You are doing advertisement of your sacrifice by criticizing Eddie. You are getting paid by sears what you work. If you want do scarifies join some NGO. Man it’s not sacrifice you are getting money for your work and you criticize your own company.

I support Eddie and love Sears not to criticize my own company and boss when they are in trouble.

Instead need to work hard. If you really want to scarify do some charity.

Sears and Eddie don’t need any sacrifice just work hard and don’t compliant about working environment.

It seems you want to do charity in proper air conditioning in luxury environment.

If you think working conditions not good at Sears and Eddie is making you fool. Why you are stuck at Sears’s .If you have skills leave the Sears and be happy. Eddie is not forced you to join the Sears. If you think you are hard worked, multi -tasking smart one better quit and join where you will get good opportunity.

Unfortunately India unlike Sears doesn't bargain prices. We as a company are here to make money and no we're not lazy! I for one thing multi task constantly. If you never worked in the retail environment you don't know, and yes Eddie not Edie, edee, Deedee our what ever the hell you call him was an investment banker who only looks out for himself. At my store the air vents are coated with 2 inches of dust , cashwrapes, and I'm sure you don't know what that is are falling apart, in the summer there's no air-conditioning e in the winter we're wearing coats and gloves! My point is that he Eddie does not invest in the stores or the employees. All he cares about is the ESL and realstate holdings do your research! Indians are supposed to be smart people and thank the USA that you have a job. Have a good day and yes I love curry

Indian labor is cheap for sure, but in quite a few instances not worth it. You lose quite a bit of customers because you get what you pay for with customer service positions, and typically anyone worth anything will move on quickly to better positions after some time to gain experience.

This was a huge problem even in higher offshore positions like programmers, after about a year many would bail out to a better company.

That said, Sears isn't in a place to look for value, they are just looking for warm bodies.

Unfortunately, for a lot of what Sears is outsourcing, its not a good fit to outsource, not without very defined processes, as well as an understanding of the roles. For example there are business units going around processes because 99% of the work has to be done stateside, but then you would send the file to India for them to upload..... if you do 99% of the work and all that's left is to upload, why wouldn't you upload it yourself! (well that's what BUs are doing, but we still have people in India staffed for this.

Its effectively like having crappy no name cheap insurance, sure you have insurance, but will it really work when you need it? They have a ton of people to do the work, but they are doing the smallest bit of it, or it takes a ton of work on our side to actually communicate what really needs to be done.

Sears India is hiring because they are willing to work, and they know what they are doing. It's business, get a clue. Oh, yeah before all the stupid comments--I'm an American

Sears and Kmart both were bankrupt many years back only because of Ediee as he took over them they are in business today.

Check history Sears and Kmart both have filed for bankruptcy many years back. You need lots of courage, vision to run such business. Ediee did it for many years and given employment for 200000 people.

He did what best he can do and now some useless people who don’t have capacity to give employment to a signal person telling Edie is wrong. If you are right you have all wisdom please start your won company and give job to 200000 people.

Those who think Eddies problem why not start their own company in retail and give employment to 150000 people and make it successful.

@zto I agree this is honestly is Eddie's problem trying to save and milk as much as he can no surprise here. Along adding a bit of politics trump cuts the corporate tax maybe he should of made it more strict to get those cuts keep the jobs in the U.S., but nothing like that...

This is problem i USA blame someone on top.like Edee or Tump. Its collective responsibility.

If you always depend on top boss you will not able to do anything in life.

nbb, leadership caused this situation. Employees are not to blame. All retail is struggling, but Sears shouldn't be in the desperate shape it's in. Eddie is 100% to blame.

BTW, since you're being all superior, learn the difference between '"your" and "you're". Plus, your sentence structure is horrific, if English is your first language, you need to study it a bit more.
