Gartner puts AWS, Microsoft Azure top of its Magic Quadrant for IaaS

The IBM Cloud experience is only one of many disjointed areas of IBM.

"On IBM, Gartner focused on the SoftLayer infrastructure, which is currently being reengineered. Gartner also noted that IBM hasn't improved SoftLayer's infrastructure since buying it in 2015. 'The IBM Cloud experience is currently disjointed,' said Gartner."

It's much worse than that. In it's new 2017 cloud magic quadrant/rankings, Gartner had IBM waaaay behind Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. They were even behind Alibaba I think. Check the quadrant if you can find one (it's a paid service but you can often find it googling) and look where IBM is - way back in the also-rans.
