Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

The Good Ole Boy Network!

Cisco was booted out of a large MSO lab due to it's disaster of a Video Back Office that was three years late. And what did CC and his entourage do ?

They LR'ed the system engineers who dedicated their last three years to the project, and not a single manager in the food chain was affected.

These are the same managers who ran the project so poorly and only focused on dates and masking issues that it was doomed for failure.

Classic example of no accountability, just massive failures, and reorg to say that there is a new focus.

Cisco always fires, I mean LRs, engineers. Directors and VPs always claim it was a coding/execution at the engineer's level. I've never seen a VP take accountability for a missed date. It's always, "We missed the date and will reconcile this so it never happens again, by firing Bob."

There are so many instances of Directors/Managers incompetently destroying strategic initiatives. The lack of accountability is rather alarmingly. Where is Ralph Nader?
